Does my business need to be on every

social media platform?

If you're a small business owner, you've probably felt the pressure to be everywhere.

Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, Threads... the list goes on.

The truth is, trying to keep up with every platform often leads to burnout, inconsistent content, and very little return on your time.

Instead of spreading yourself too thin, focus on the platforms where your ideal customers actually spend their time.

Ask yourself:

  • Where does my audience go to find businesses like mine?
  • Which platform generates the most enquiries?
  • Where do I enjoy creating content?

It's far better to build a strong, consistent presence on one or two platforms than to post sporadically across five.

For example, if you own a local café, Instagram and Facebook might be your strongest channels. If you offer professional services, LinkedIn could be where your audience is most active. The key is to invest your time where it matters most.

Remember, social media isn't about being everywhere, it's about being in the right place.

By focusing your efforts, you'll create better content, build stronger relationships with your audience, and have more time to run your business.

Quality beats quantity every time.
